My therapeutic approach is guided by the belief that being seen, accepted, and cared for are the catalysts to change. Through validation and warmth, I support clients develop new meanings to their challenges that come from a place of internal strength as well as experiment with new ways of engaging with the world.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults and my particular clinical interests include anxiety, depression and mood disorders, family of origin work, trauma, identity development, and life transitions.
My work is further informed by my personal experience living in Africa, Europe, Asia, and North America. Navigating and assimilating different cultures has given me a deep appreciation for the central role culture plays in shaping us and I engage clients to bring out their unique, culturally nuanced ways of navigating the world. I am a native English and French speaker and offer services in both languages.
I am a certified EMDR therapist and incorporate a varieties of treatment modalities including ACT, IFS, Mindfulness, ERP, CBT, and DBT to support clients. I received a Bachelor degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol, UK and hold Master degrees in Social Work and Nonprofit Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
